Good Tucker Guide
Our customers, whether they be canine or feline, are fed as requested, such as puppies who need 2 or 3 meals a day or adult dogs who need just one meal a day. We use chicken rolls and keep a selection of dried dog biscuits from puppy to working dog – for dogs who require a bit more energy from their daily meal.
We can supply all sorts of meals, so please let us know what your preferred dinner is for your pet, and I am 100% sure we can accommodate their taste. Cats also can be treated to their favourite morsels, whether it is fresh chicken necks, raw cat mince or their choice of tin. Dried cat bikkies are Whiskas Vita-Bites are also provided.
Vaccinations
We will need to sight a current, valid Vaccination Certificate upon arrival. For cats, the minimum vaccination required is an F4. For dogs, the preferred vaccination is a C5, but a C4 is sufficient (we cannot accept a C3).
Veterinary Care
If in any doubt we will call the Vet. We are quite happy to contact your own Vet, however please let us know when arriving.
What We Need to Know/Medications
We have no trouble administering medications or prescription diets including Diabetics. Please make sure that all medication is well named and dosage described accurately. It’s helpful to know also of any pre-existing medical conditions, for example limps or lumps. Specific pills and potions can be administered if required. Please mark them clearly.
If necessary, please give us the details of any special requirements, conditions or diets. For example if your pet is an escape artist or can pick a federal lock – we would like to know!
Answering Service
A lot of our time is spent out of the office tending to the animals so please use the answering service and we will call you back.
Back Early or Delayed?
Not a problem! If you know you are going to be delayed please let us know by phone. If your dog was going to be hydro-bathed please let us know as soon as possible so we can try to do it straight away.
The first time to the Kennels or the Cattery for any pet is like your child going to Kindy on their first day. Don’t feel guilty, please feel free to phone for a progress report.
Extra Services
- We can provide a hydro-bath service for your dog so if you would like your dog clean before they go home please let us know. A small fee applies.
- Dogs staying seven days or more automatically receive a free hydro-bath prior to departure.
- We will board dogs in season.
